RenderMan

More from Pixar

Pixar’s Core Rendering Technology

RenderMan is a high performance renderer designed to take on the most complex 3D rendering challenges in animation and VFX.

Developed and used by the team at Pixar for their own production needs, this software has been at the forefront of the visual effects revolution for over twenty-five years and continues to remain so.

What’s new in RenderMan 21?

The latest version, RenderMan 21, stands out as the first version that has the same shaders and lights used at Pixar. This is a major development that gives artists access to the tools that are used in Pixar's own films.

The RIS rendering framework has earned its stripes on majpr films including The Force Awakens and The Jungle Book, and is presented here in all its glory.

There's also an impressive GPU-accelerated Denoise, as well as support for Open Shading Language.

RenderMan 21 is a major new release and one to be excited about. Get in touch with us to find out more.
