Access:VFX will be touring the UK throughout October to raise awareness of the visual effects industry as a career path for young people.
Founded by Simon Devereux, head of learning and development at The Mill, Access:VFX is a global initiative comprising leading visual effects houses and industry organisations including The Mill, UK Screen Alliance, and Escape Technology.
Following the success of National Inclusion Week, the month-long tour kicks off on 4th October in Stoke-on-Trent. Escape Technology will be joining the Manchester, East Anglia, and London legs, helping to inspire the next generation of VFX talent.
“Supporting this initiative is incredibly important to us all, it’s action that can make a real difference to the lives of people who otherwise would not have exposure to this amazing industry,” comments Mark Cass, Managing Director of Escape Technology. “Since its inception Access:VFX has championed inclusivity and diversity within visual effects. It has encouraged young people around the country to look at VFX as a career across it’s multiple disciplines . Long may it continue.”
